Timothy D. Strack

Tim began his career with the City of Riverside Fire Department as a firefighter in 1995 and was promoted to his current rank of Captain in June, 2003. Tim was elected First Vice President of the Riverside City Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 1067 in December, 2001 and was elected President in May, 2002, a position which he still holds. Tim is also currently serving as the 1st District Vice-President of the California Professional Firefighters, representing firefighters in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Orange, and Imperial. Tim has also served as an IAFF Field Service Representative since 2010. Tim was appointed to the Alfred E. Alquist Seismic Safety Commission by Governor Edmund G. Brown in August of 2011 as the Fire Services representative to the Commission. He was reappointed in 2014 and 2017. He served two terms as Chairman from 2014 to 2016.Tim also serves as the Chairman of the Riverside City Firefighter’s Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit assisting the citizens in the City of Riverside in fire education, fire prevention, victim assistance, and fallen firefighter family support. Tim also serves as a board member on the California Fire Foundation Board of Directors and is a labor representative on the California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
Tim holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Public Administration from the California State University at San Bernardino, and a Master of Public Administration from the California Baptist University.
