Representing: Public Utility
Tracy Johnson is currently the vice-chair of the Seismic Safety Commission and has been with the commission since 2013 representing public utilities and lifelines. Throughout her career as a Professional Engineer, Tracy has worked in design, construction, manufacturing and maintenance operations. She is currently employed at the SF Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) where she manages Civil, Track and Structural Engineering as well as the Construction Management Division. Prior to joining BART, Tracy worked in private industry for 25 years. Tracy has extensive experience in earthquake engineering including her role providing technical oversight on BART’s $1.2B Earthquake Safety Program. In addition to being a commissioner on the California Seismic Safety Commission, Tracy has a seat on the Advisory Committee for the California Integrated Seismic Network.
